All Things Valentine(2016)

Avery(SARAH RAFFERTY), a blogger with a string of disappointing Valentine's Days, is ready to give up on love when she meets handsome veterinarian Brendan(SAM PAGE). When Avery finds out Brendan blames his recent break up on her blog and is the one leaving her angry comments, she begins to question whether the bond they've began to build is a true love story or yesterday's news. What do I love about this movie?  Besides the two lead characters who are VERY believable, I like that it is not very mushy.

The issues here are very real, and besides the last boyfriend of Avery who cheated on her the past year with an older woman, there's no real antagonist.  

KIMBERLEY SUSTAD brought to life McKenna, and through her I saw that McKenna is not a person to be hated.  She's a good friend to Prue(HILARY JARDINE), a person who is so afraid to give her heart away, especially to Kit(JEREMY GUILBAUT).

I also like the Parkers, most especially Avery's nephew, Jeremy, played by ANTHONY BOLOGNESE.  He's so adorable.

Oh, and I also like the fact that even if it's a he said, she said/she said, he said battle, it has a different approach to it.

I also like the fact that the same person who tried to break them apart is also the same person who is going to fix it.

Let's not forget Busby.  Busby is such a darling.

For those who do not know, Busby is a dog.  A Parson Russell Terrier or a Jack Russell Terrier, although I am not sure.  All I know is that he's a cutie patootie.  Buddy.  Busby.  They sound the same.  He didn't get confused, but I found it funny that when Avery says Busby, Brendan says Buddy and the other way around.  

It's not without flaws, yes, but nobody's perfect, right?

I know people have different reactions about this movie, but the words above are my take on it. 

By the way, I wish there was a spin off about McKenna.  She deserves to be happy too, after Brendan slapped her on the face, so to speak.  She is a good person and she deserves all the love in the world. Brendan might be great to Avery, but he was a jerk to her.
