How many movies and TV series have I seen with the same premise or what have you? I don't know, but I've seen a lot of movies and TV series that the rich would pretend not to be rich and eventually the object of his or her affection would find out. Well, Hallmark movies usually have a similar theme, but they present them in different ways.
Anyways, it does not matter.
It's bad if you copy the entire thing and claim it as your own. That's plagiarism. This one isn't. Why? Because even in real life there could be similar stories, but not entirely the same.
I like it. It's not the best of its kind, but it does give you a giddy feeling inside. Plus, they added other elements to make it a bit different.
There's some kind of chemistry between Steve Lund and Siobhan Williams. It does not matter if Mr. Lund is rumoured to be gay. What matters is that he played someone bitten by the love bug quite well. They do look good together onscreen.
Allie Bertram as Beth, Allison's best friend, has a big exposure in this TV movie too. She does not have one, but two suitors in this flick. Ooh la la. In the Philippines one would say, "Ang haba ng buhok mo, ate!" (If you click the link you would learn Filipino Slanguage, but it didn't mention that sometimes it seems derogatory or having admirers make you feel you're more beautiful than you actually are...or some other exaggerated praise...anyways, here's link for some gay lingo you might hear Filipinos mention when you visit our country or meet a Filipino who uses these terms wherever you are...not all do, FYI)
I'm NOT saying Allie Bertram is not pretty, because she is. It's just that even if she's pretty, she's not the leading lady of this movie, but she gets all the attention from two attractive young men.
Hallmark and PixL you did it again.
You made us feel light and giddy even if the story is quite predictable.
Thank you. We needed that. :-)
