#horses All images are from imdb Director: Willi Patterson Writers: William Corlett (teleplay), and  Pamela Wallace (novel) For the past couple of months I was able to watch fairly enjoyable made for TV movies based on Silhouette/Harlequin/Mills & Boon novels, but I didn't feel like blogging about them. I came across this story when I was looking for the movie called CHRISTMAS COOKIES(2016)  starring Jill Wagner and Wes Brown, but all versions weren't good.  I saw this movie on the right side bar, then clicked it.  What got me hooked was the theme song: I Can't Let Go  Written by  Barry Mason  and  Alan Hawkshaw   Sung by  Marti Webb It was such a beautiful intro that brought chills to my spine.   So I watched KATHLEEN QUINLAN  go to Scotland with her baby sister played by BETSY BRANTLEY to meet the man of her destiny, played by DAVID ROBB. They were so drawn to each other that when he ki...

By the start of Kasdan Creswell's first academic term, not all aspects of the merger have been ironed-out. In what was already a threatened music program at both schools, Kasdan's director of music Diana Thiessen and Creswell's director of music Ken Stoddard still have music teaching jobs in the merger running parallel music programs, it not being clear what will happen to either of their jobs based on monetary issues, with the likelihood that both will have jobs by the end of the completed merger low. Diana and Ken already do not see eye to eye on anything music-related, Diana who teaches in an academic fashion primarily of the classics, while Ken wants his students to have free expression of music, his musical teachi...

MARTIAL LAW(ML) 2018

Image
( source ) First, I have to acknowledge to the great acting of the indefatigable EDDIE GARCIA.  The others were good too, but of course, it was Mr. Garcia who stood out. What did I think of the story? It has good intentions to open the eyes of the millennials and those people who believe that Martial Law was good for us, and is still good for us.  Those who think that the people tortured during the Marcos Rule got their just deserts are surely going to think twice after seeing this movie.  Well, that was the hope of everyone involved in this project. Spoiler alert: Mr. Migue, we really felt we were being tortured too. We felt our nails being pulled, our bodies electrocuted and violated, our minds exploding, and wits diminishing, but we have some concerns: 1.  If the Colonel was time warped, how come he knew how to use a smart phone?; 2. He was watching TV...the news...he was aware of the EJK and current issues, so he had lucid moments, ...

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

Note:  I love this film so much.  It made me understand Freddie Mercury more, and I appreciated Queen as a whole like I never did before. Directed by Bryan Singer   and towards the end, Dexter Fletcher Produced by Graham King , Jim Beach , Robert De Niro, and Bryan Singer Screenplay by Anthony McCarten Story by Anthony McCarten Peter Morgan When I was a young girl I was very vocal about my views on backmasking, and Queen was one of those I was campaigning against.  I still very much believe about the evils of the subliminal messages of backmasking, but I'm glad to see Freddie Mercury, my nephew's favourite singer, and his band, Queen, beyond backmasking (btw, I know a lot of people who used backmasking to insert good subliminal messages too). This movie has mixed reviews from the critics, most of them would rather have Freddie Mercury as a good for nothing fag (I read somewhere that was what they called him), which was not widely accepted in th...
