My Perfect You (2018) PG
“My Perfect You” is the story of Burn (Gerald Anderson), a man who’s down in the dumps, and Abi (Pia Wurtzbach), the girl who helps him see the light again. Will they find the perfect love for them or will they have to face heartbreak again?
My Perfect You may have been marketed as a rom-com, but there's more to it than meets the eye. It tackles heavy subject matters including genetics, psychology and other things related to them.
The movie's central characters, Abi and Burn, played by PIA WURTZBACH and GERALD ANDERSON, are so perfect for each other that you would ask yourself, "What's the catch?" "Is there a punchline somewhere?" The actors have great onscreen chemistry and I wouldn't be surprised if they would have other projects together. Both of them could really act and both of them praise their director, MS. CATHY GARCIA-MOLINA.
They also have great supporters/supporting stars: DIMPLES ROMANA, XIA VIGOR, TONTON GUTIERREZ, JANUS DEL PRADO, RJ LEDESMA, PAOLO O'HARA, MARIANN FLORES, WILMA DOESNT and DARWIN TOLENTINO (plus a lot of extras).
There were a lot of scenes that made the audience laugh and cheer, but there were also a lot of scenes that made our knees weak and broke our hearts.
Even with the very serious scenes, this movie is worth watching.
We weren't planning to do so, but we're very glad that we changed our minds.
Kudos to everyone involved in this film!
This really is a very beautiful movie and I wouldn't mind watching it again and again.
