This is a SERIOUS movie.  Maybe there are a few funny dialogues and situations, but this is NOT a funny movie.  It actually implicated a lot of political personalities like Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bill Clinton and some others.  It's like a great coverup, except that the claim is, it is based on a TRUE LIE.  One could interpret this in so many ways.  Either this really happened, or the claim of the trailers that this is based on a true story is the lie.

If this really happened, then it is a very sad reality.  The superpowers were duped by Latin American mobsters/drug lords(Medellin Cartel) and the like.

The movie is very believable and outrageous at the same time.  Because of the acting, you would tend to believe it, but at the same time, your whole body would feel like it is drenched by sub zero icy water.

 When I read the story above, my heart was wrenched.  Of course, they exaggerated some scenes in the Tom Cruise flick, but man, the real story is even stranger than fiction.

In reality, it is not proven who really murdered Barry Seal.  It could be anyone.
