American Assassin (2017). R-16 #MitchRappSaga #VinceFlynn

When Cold War veteran Stan Hurley takes CIA black ops recruit Mitch Rapp under his wing, they receive an assignment to investigate a wave of random attacks on both military and civilian targets. After discovering a pattern of violence, Hurley and Rapp join forces with a lethal Turkish agent to stop a mysterious operative who wants to start a global war.-WWW

Taylor Kitsch did his job well.  I would have also loved it if he was on the good side, but he was very believable as a very disillusioned disciple.

There is no dead air in this film.  This book based on Vince Flynn's best seller is exciting, riveting and it puts you to the edge of your seat.

It is not perfect, but it did deliver.  I can't wait for the next instalments.  Dylan O'Brien is becoming so in demand for different movie series, for lack of a better description right now coming from my feeble brain.

I like Michael Keaton's portrayal of Stan Hurley.  Yes, he could be a great mentor who learned from his mistakes.

Sanaa Lathan's portrayal of Deputy Director Irene Kennedy's calm demeanour(a tiger looking like a lamb) is almost seamless, if not seamless.

This is a violent film.  It is not for the ultra conservative, the faint of heart and the like.   It's R-16, so it's definitely not for kids.

Anyways, for those not in those categories mentioned above, you would definitely enjoy the action scenes and when the film end, you wouldn't be able to wait for the sequel, but you have to.  :-)
