To be honest, I still like the first one...the original.  The first one made me believe that these cars are people who have feelings and they are just shaped liked cars.  Well, not exactly, but every emotion was felt and people could relate to it.  The second one, had a similar effect, but still overpowered by the original.  This one made my nephew so happy that he was sorta kinda jumping for joy (while sitting down---just try to imagine it) because for him every scene was exciting.  I, on the other hand, felt drowsy in the middle of the movie, but thankfully, I was wide awake during the most important race and I was shouting, "Go girl!"

Some of the members of the original cast are still there, but now, some familiar names are added.  Nathan Fillon who is popularly known for his role as Richard Castle(a TV series about a writer who teams up with an NYPD homicide detective, Katie Beckett played by the lovely Stana Katic) lends his voice to Sterling, an annoying billionaire who bought Rusteze and really knew how to get into Cruz Ramirez's(Cristela Alonzo lends her her voice) head.

Armie Hammer, who some people describe as Enrique Gil's ringer, and is famous for a lot of things like being the Lone Ranger, lends his voice to Lightning "Stickers" McQueen(Steve McQueen and Paul Newman were real life racers)'s arch-nemesis, Jackson Storm, who is a braggart because he so state-of-the-art.

My nephew told me that this second franchise is loosely based on Rocky 3.  A friend of mine who watched this ahead of me didn't tell me all the details except that this is about mentoring people, which actually heightened my interest in watching this film.

Yes, I still love the original better than this one, but as I observed the glee of the children after movie was shown(before the after credits thingy), I think this movie is worth watching.  There are few films that are rated G nowadays.  Well, there are still parts that are still PGish, but this is practically a good for kids kind of film. Thank goodness.
