Something to Talk About- 1995 (Another movie I don't get tired of watching)

When Marion Dougherty, CSA, chose Julia Roberts and Kyra Sedgwick to be sisters, she knew what she was doing.  If they weren't known actors and I saw them walking together, let's say at the mall, I would probably think they're flesh and blood.  The similarities are just too strong.

Callie Khouri's love for her family and her versatility help her create beautiful endearing stories that touch the hearts of movie goers and couch potatoes.

SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT is the second best story that she weaved(the best is THELMA AND LOUISE, in my opinion).

If I didn't know better, I would think that Robert Duvall and Gena Rowlands are really husband and wife.

It's a good thing I wasn't the one who cast this film.  I would never imagine pairing Dennis Quaid with Julia Roberts, but Ms. Dougherty saw something that clicked. Their onscreen partnership worked and since I'm watching this movie again and again, I must say, it still works.

Haley Aull, who plays the adorable little Caroline, was so great here that it's so hard to imagine that this movie was her last(she only had two movies).

Storyline [from imdb]

Grace Bichon, who is managing her father's riding-stable, discovers that her husband Eddie deceives her with another woman. After confronting him in the middle of the night on the streets of their small home town, she decides to stay at her sister Emma Rae's house for a while, to make up her mind. Breaking out of her everyday life, she starts to question the authority of everyone, especially her father's, thus causing a stir in her parent's marriage, too. Written by Thomas Meyer <i03a@zfn.uni-bremen.de>
