Remember Sunday (2013)

Image
Screenplay by Michael Kase Barry Morrow Directed by Jeff Bleckner ZACHARY LEVI and ALEXIS BLEDEL star in a love story where a guy suffers from short term memory loss.  If you've seen 50 FIRST DATES, then you kind of get the situation. Things to take note of before I go on with this blog entry: Hippocampal  damage can result in anterograde amnesia: loss of ability to form new memories, although older memories may be safe. Thus, someone who sustains an injury to the  hippocampus  may have good memory of his childhood and the years before the injury, but relatively little memory for anything that happened since. Anterograde amnesia  is a loss of the ability to create new memories after the event that caused  amnesia , leading to a partial or complete inability to recall the recent past, while long-term memories from before the event remain intact. I know of some people who dissolved their marriages because one of them has forgotten about ...

The Nanny Express(2008) and All Yours (2016)

Image
Directed by  Bradford May Writing Credits  ( WGA )    Judith Heiman Kriegsman , Stephen Langford , and Riley Weston This is not the first story where the father who is a widower falls in love with the nanny taking great care of his kids.  Old movies and TV shows have had topics like this one, and I know a few people who fell in love in real life. Among the reel stories, this is one of the most beautiful and most serious of them all. Although not all the time, more often than not, the story starts with uber creative bratty kids who eventually grow in love with the nanny, and the nanny loves them in return. Here, one kid in elementary school, and a teenage girl. Before the nanny in this movie gets into the picture, for almost three whole years after the kids' mother passed on, different nannies experienced all the pranks these two brilliant minds thought of. When she came along, she still experienced everything they experienced...

A Family Thanksgiving (2010)

A wealthy, successful corporate lawyer ( Daphne Zuniga , “One Tree Hill”) is living the high life in New York City with little time for anything except her lavish lifestyle until a close encounter with a bizarre mystic (Academy Award® Winner Faye Dunaway , “Network”) drops her into an alternative reality to see what her life might have been like had she made different choices.- The Hallmark Channel Director: Neill Fearnley Writer: Emily Baer They are not hiding it.  This movie could have been given the title, "FAMILY WOMAN".  It's almost exactly the same, less the big screen/cinematic elements the Nicolas Cage starrer that awed the viewers, prompting them to talk about "them" over coffee, dinner or what have you.   Still, this one warms the heart.  True, not everyone needs a person of the opposite gender or another person of the same gender to be complete, but sometimes we overlook people who notice us, but just don't know how to approach us or tell...

A Song From The Heart(1999)

Image
Directed by   Marcus Cole Writing Credits   ( WGA )    Giorgio Serafini ... (story) Giorgio Serafini ... (teleplay) & Michelle MacLaren ... (teleplay) & Alex Butler ... (teleplay) & Mikki Willis ... (teleplay) (as Mikki Allen Willis) and Selma Thompson ... (teleplay) THE MOVIE (I'm including the link of the movie because the one who made the original story, GIORGIO SERAFINI , made a comment " there ".) Predictable or not, I like this story.  AMY GRANT did well.    I sang her songs in the 1980s, and I even ruined one beautiful and special number of a sister-in-Christ in church(WWCF held then at the Rizal Theater) singing ARMS OF LOVE because I sang with her aloud as a member of the audience. You can do that during Praise and Worship or Praise Jams...back then I didn't know the difference until that happened.  When a person is performing, that's taboo.  She never forgave me.  Well, I am not sure if...
