Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

It's a good thing that we were really joyfully anticipating this movie or else we would have been greatly disappointed because it was the only movie showing in every cinema of SM City BF Parañaque "When Disney acquired Marvel, the lines became funnier, 'Tati'!" as observed by my eight(8) year old nephew. I agree with him.  The scenes were still violent, but bearable.  I took to heart the parental guidance thing and tried to be alert every time he asked a question.  His dad was on the other side, but he chose to ask me stuff.  He did turn to his dad when he wanted to go... ;-) My nephew loves his parents, most especially his mom, but I'm happy that he also thinks highly of me.  ;-) During the first few minutes, I was lost in space(not the movie's fault, but I was distracted by something ), but after a few minutes, I was into it.  Every scene was exciting...well, maybe not every  scene, but to us, it sure felt like it. Others squirmed because

Based on Malavita (Book) by  Tonino Benacquista Directed by  Luc Besson Writing Credits (WGA)   Luc Besson ... (screenplay) and Michael Caleo ... (screenplay) via HBO HD We had no idea what this was all about when this was released here in the country.  All we knew was that it was being played at the Director's Club cinema at SM Supermalls all over the Metropolis.  When we were choosing between this and Captain Phillips during our first theater experience at SM Aura Premier, we chose Captain Phillips , which was showing at a regular  cinema.   From Wikipedia the free encyclopedia(I am not putting the link because there are spoilers...if you want spoilers, just Google it, OK?): The Family (released as Malavita and Cosa Nostra in some foreign markets) is a 2013 crime comedy film directed by Luc Besson, starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, Dianna Agron, and John D'Leo. The film follows a Mafia family under the witness protecti

Mr. Holland's Opus (1995)---- watching this for the nth time

1965. Musician and composer Glenn Holland decides to switch gears in his career by taking a music teaching job at John F. Kennedy High School in order to have more free time to spend with his bride, Iris Holland, and compose, most specifically a symphony which has always been his dream to do. This career change is despite music rather than teaching being his passion, and having no experience in teaching beyond having a teaching certificate. He quickly learns that it is a job that he hates - largely because his students generally don't relate to music the way he does, and of where he and the music program fit within the pecking order of the school - but which he sticks with if only because of life circumstances. With some help most specifically from school principal Mrs. Jacobs, he understands he has to find the same passion that he has for music and translate that somehow into the way he relates to his work and to the students if he is to survive in this life. His teaching w

The "familia" in Abu Dhabi  Paul Walker(Brian), Michelle Rodriguez(Letty), Vin Diesel(Dom), Tyrese Gibson(Roman), Nathalie Emmanuel(Ramsey) and Ludacris/Chris Bridges(Tej) Bound by love, friendship, loyalty and complementing abilities, this familia  again proves that people become one family even if they are not related by blood, with the exception Mia and Dom, of course. Together, they were able to kick some butt and save the world, so to speak. It's true, not everything they do is laudable, but... I love the send off  best.  I even shed a tear or two.  Note:  Although I have my own 4G pocket wifi, I'm glad that I was able to use the hyper speed(I'm exaggerating, but their connection is really fast) of Motorino Neapoletan Pizza of Brooklyn .  I wrote this piece while enjoying their roasted corn, garlic and cheese pizza and tiramisu.   Anyways, before publishing this, I had to reread and update it several times. A woman who is looking for acceptance, who's looking for love, who wants to be appreciated and who wants to belong find what she's looking for from her personal assistant.- WWW Last Saturday, when everyone was lining up for Furious 7(2015)  and me and my nephew were off to watch Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water(I'm not going to write about this---I just watched this movie out of love for my nephew), nobody seemed to be lining up for this movie. When it was announced that it earned PhP25 Million in the first two days, I couldn't believe it.  I thought it was some hype or something, like when this super popular Filipino singer claimed that all seats were taken at the MGM Grand, but I saw that it was a flop, that I thought the stats were exaggerated or something. I have nothing against the actors.  I like them both, but I still thought it was a hype until I watched it myself. The story was conceptualized by Celestine "Toni" Gonzaga, and it was writt
