100 Tula Para Kay Stella (PG) 2017

Naka move on na po ako...natuwa lang ako sa eksena na ito.

This blog entry might have a few spoilers, but I'll try my very best to have none, unless I couldn't help it.

How do I start this entry then?

Maybe I'll start with what I like best and probably you would consider this a spoiler:  Fidel(JC Santos) was able to gain confidence because his roommate and his org mates believed in him.  When people have potential, we should not bring them down and we shouldn't laugh at their imperfections.  Instead, we should encourage them to be the best of what they could be.  Sometimes that's all people need.  A pat on the back...a bit of a push...they don't need jeerers and hecklers who tantamount to being bullies.

I also like the ending.  It proves that EVERY scene is important. There is integration and every character or at least every main character learned a thing or two leading them to be wiser and more mature.  In the middle of the story I really wished it would turn out "that way", except for one minute detail that I sort of missed.  I thought of it when a certain conversation was happening, but the thought got lost along the way.  When it "happened", then I went out of the theatre smiling.

One reviewer called Dennis Padilla(and Joey Marquez) pambansang ama and here, he did his "job" well.  He is a nice and caring dad here, unlike in Finally Found Someone.

Bela and JC are very versatile and they both could sing well.  I also like the supporting cast and they all made the movie seem real.

Mount Arayat looked(looks) so glorious and I'm glad it played a big role in the story.

Jason Paul Laxamana, you are a true raconteur and very good director.  Hope to see more of your works one day.
