Let me start in reverse.  Before the interviewed Jews spoke, everyone in the theatre applauded.  The story was researched well, the movie was well-directed, and it is well-acted. Greatly acted even.

It was as if we were there, experiencing everything with them.  It was as if CCTvs were invented already and we were watching their every move.

People were wondering why RAYMOND BAGATSING was chosen to play the late President because of his lineage/ancestry, but when you watch the film, you would see why.  There are moments in the movie where he really looked like the very handsome President Quezon, and the ones who were able to hear him speak(or just check the files of his speech that rocked the nation) said he got the accent right.  

Ms. RACHEL ALEJANDRO gave an outstanding performance as Mrs. Aurora Quezon.  She spoke like her...she acted like her...she was her.  She is her.  

I know not everyone would be happy with a lot of things divulged in this film, but there is proof that it really happened.  A lot of Jews are very grateful, and saving them did not mean he loved his country any less.

Listen to the dialogue between President Quezon and Vice President Sergio Osmeña(AUDIE GEMORA).   I am sure that dialogue changed the "future" President's perspective, and I believe it was etched in his heart, until his last breath.  That dialogue proved/proves that dear President Manuel Luis Quezon loved our country, and he is a wise and brave soul.  He also became a precursor or a forerunner of people who cared for the Jews...human being baked in ovens like how the wicked witch wanted to bake Hansel, minus the eating part, of course.

You will also be impressed with KATE ALEJANDRINO.  It's not the first time I've encountered this young lady, but so far, this is one of her best performances ever.

Oh, by the way, if I was impressed with President Dwight David Eisenhower before, I love him now...not in a romantic kind of way. He was played well by DAVID BIANCO. My favourite parts were when he was talking to an ageing General Douglas McArthur(MIGUEL FAUSTMANN), and when he and his wife, Mamie(played by Bianco's real wife, JENNIFER BLAIR-BIANCO, a Filipino-American actor and model), were talking about duties, et cetera.

This movie raked a lot of awards abroad, including a Best Supporting award for BILLY RAY GALLION as Alex Frieder.  When I saw the movie, I understood why.

You also can't discount the acting of JAMES PAOLELI as High Commissioner Paul Vories McNutt.  I felt every emotion.

I could do a roll call here, because everyone really gave lasting impressions, but I'll just give a general opinion,: All the supporting actors did well.  Yes, indeed.  This is really a great team effort from everyone.  From the script to the finish product to the marketing, et cetera, et cetera.

Let's support movies like this one.  Yes, there are a few things done for cinematic purposes, but about 95% of the movie is from ACTUAL events.

Let's have a clamour for this movie.

Hope they show this one in schools so students may write reaction papers, and discuss it.

I am sure not only Quezonians would be proud of this movie, but Filipinos all over the world would be.  Maybe there'll be some who would shake their heads, but that's life.  We can't please everyone.

Kudos to the cast, crew, and everyone else.  May your respective tribes increase.

Great movie!  More people should watch this! The other side of the coin P.S. I wondered why people were trying to stop the showing of this movie.  I think one of the reasons is that it's because of what the researchers of the video above "discovered", but thankfully it was kind of balanced, if there's such a thing, by what Senator Edgardo J. Angara's thoughts and narrative. #GalitKayQuezon #TinawagSiQuezonNaDobleKara I still say watch this movie.  I still believe it's well-researched, and it shows that most of the things about him were just misinterpreted.  He loves his country.  He really valued our independence, and he helped more than a thousand people when everyone else were deliberately making themselves seem blind as a bat. He is a true hero.
