Cinema 1 2nd Floor, CommerCenter, Commerce Avenue corner East Asia Drive, Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa The movie is mostly set in Boston and Boston is in Mass achusetts.  Whitey Bulger, an Echelon informant, and his cohorts sold their souls to the devil. The film is based on a non-fiction account of the FBI's dealings with Bulger written by former  Boston Globe  reporters Dick Lehr and Gerald O'Neill and titled  Black Mass: Whitey Bulger, the FBI, and a Devil's Deal . ( source ) After more than a month of waiting, finally, I've been able to watch Johnny Depp's latest movie called BLACK MASS.  There was no dull moment, but there were a lot of changes of emotions: scared, happy, thrilled, frightened, excited, scared again, et cetera, et cetera, then relieved.  Relieved?  Why so?  Well, when true to life characters are being portrayed by actors and you momentarily forget you are just watching a movie, it would seem like you used a time

The others wanted it to be scarier, but we like Señor Del Toro's style,

Bridge of Spies(2015)

It doesn't matter what other people think of you. What matters is knowing you did the right thing. Jimmy Donovan  to a trembling U-2 Pilot,  Gary Powers (Poster from Rotten Tomatoes ) Directed By: Steven Spielberg Written By: Matt Charman ,  Ethan Coen ,and  Joel Coen Inspired by True Events A dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic events, DreamWorks Pictures/Fox 2000 Pictures’ “Bridge of Spies” tells the story of James Donovan, a Brooklyn lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot. Everything went sour when they went home.  Things became stereotypical. Fight a prenup with more clauses? What? I know I don't have any right to criticize this movie, after all, I'm just an observer, but as an observer,  I think I could share my opinions.  Am I right? As a whole, I like it.  What's not to like? My crush(OK, one of my crushes), Sam Milby is the leading man.  I like Jennylyn Mercado.   I like all the cast members.  I greatly respect the

War Games (1983)

( source ) According to my doctor friends I should have been well a long time ago if I didn't go out when I was about to be healed.  Since I'm still under the weather, I tried my best to get useful.  Now, I am watching WAR GAMES. I was still in High School when I watched this the first time when geeky looking Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy were still so very young like me.  It was a box office hit.  When I watched it the first time, I was so impressed, but right now, a lot of things that happening in the movie look so goofy.  I think everything looked like Atari blips that time.  With the technology nowadays, everything just look like child's play.  Maybe that's why David and Jennifer thought they were just playing when they almost caused a war.  The film has lots of goofs that we notice today, of course, but even so, being shown 32 years ago, this was considered to be very hi-tech(the geeks noticed it then, but normal viewers like us were in awe).  Before fil

Less than enthusiastic about her son’s relationship with a commoner, the prince's mother Queen Isadora(Seymour) makes Emily feel anything but welcome at their grand castle, leaving Emily to feel more at home among Isadora’s staff of butlers and housemaids. As Emily struggles to adapt to her new royal surroundings, the situation is made more difficult when a scheming Isadora invites Duchess Natasha(Flynn), Leo’s ex-girlfriend, to join them for Christmas. Attempting to stay true to herself in a world where she clearly does

Bick and Jett form a tense rivalry that continues to surface as the years pass and fortunes change in this sweeping drama.-WWW Initial release: October 10, 1956 (New York City) Director: George Stevens Running time: 3h 21m Story by: Edna Ferbe r (1952 novel of the same title) Screenplay: Fred Guiol , Ivan Moffat Giant is an epic that after watching for a second time I told myself, "Never again!"  I guess you should never say never.   I was a teenager when I first watched this.  Why did I watch it?  I was sort of reading about the life and times of the three main characters: Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and James D
