Transporter-Refueled (2015) R-13

Frank Martin is living a less perilous lifestyle, or so he thinks, transporting classified packages for questionable people. Things get complicated when femme fatale Anna and her three accomplices orchestrate a bank heist and the kidnapping of Frank's father. It's all part of a grand plan to take down the human trafficker who victimized her years earlier. Now a pawn in her vengeful scheme, the former special-operations mercenary must use his covert skills to play Anna's dangerous game.-WWW

Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors.

Would my movie buddy, RJ, who is now in heaven, love this new version too, sans Jason Statham?  My guess is that he would.  The action scenes are very exciting and not too predictable, at least, in my opinion. Even so, compared to this, I like the ones with Statham more. The consolation is that this is only the first installment and for a first installment(this is a trilogy), it's quite good.

Mom and I were supposed to watch PIXELS for free(it's the last day today...mom's a senior  citizen of Parañaque City and because of ePlus, I could've watched it for free too), but we joined dad and my brother Karl(the family that watches a movie together...hehehe) and watched it at the Director's Club at SM City BF Parañaque.  We don't regret it a bit.

This is definitely not for the faint of heart and those who think that everything they should watch should be pure and holy.  The characters are far from that, but they are works in progress.

While watching the action scenes mom and I were very thankful that nothing like those scenes happened during our visits to Europe. I wouldn't know what I would do if...haist. The sad thing is, things like these are happening all over the world.  We all wish for world peace, but...

On a lighter note, I believe that Ray Stevenson, who plays Frank Senior, is definitely more handsome than Frank Junior, played by Ed Skrein(another one of those who were noticed in #GoT  #GameofThrones), but you cannot discount the latter's charms and moves.  According to a friend of mine, "He's hot, hot, hot!"

Loan Chabanol, a person I've met while watching THIRD PERSON, did alright here. She's definitely more than just a pretty face.

The Florence Nightingale effect is a situation where a caregiver develops romantic and/or sexual feelings for his/her patient, even if very little communication or contact takes place outside of basic care. Feelings may fade once the patient is no longer in need of care, either by recovery or death.

I can't wait for the sequel and the final chapter.  I hope it's more exciting than this one.
