Scott Fitzgerald The style is quite similar, but NOT the same, mind you, to the Hawke-Delpy BEFORE trilogy .  It's mostly just the two of them(Mace and Anthony as played by Angelica and JM respectively) with some bit players.  Most of the people who watched this film with us liked it, with the exception of some seniors who exclaimed, " Mabuti na lang libre! " (It's a good thing it's free!) A couple of pairs that said the line above are church leaders, so it's easy to understand that they did not like the expletives uttered by Mace and Anthony like it was the most natural thing in the world.  My parents on the other hand, loved it(the story and execution, not the expletives).   Minus those expletives and the things Mace implied in the movie, it has a great story.   Maybe the only flaw  was when Mace asked Anthony where he liv

Chinatown was the first movie that exposed me to incest(Oh my, did I spoil it for you?  There's more to it than that , believe you me!).  I watched this in the Betamax format when I was about ten years old and  I just couldn't fathom that because I am blessed to have a father who protects.  The ending gave me the chills and I could not stop crying.  I was morose. Robert Towne , the screenwriter, earned a lot of accolades because of this movie.  He is doubly blessed because when he wrote the script, he had Jack Nicholson  in mind and his wish came true.   I thought I was not going to watch this again, but my folks were watching this the whole time I was multitasking.  Oh shucks. Every scene was quite interesting.  I just don't get Jake Gittes' pose exposing his armpit after making love with Evelyn .  Was there a message that the director, Roman Polanski , was trying to convey? ( source ) Directed by Manny Palo Written by Enrico Santos Halik sa Hangin  is a sensual romantic horror movie, according to PEP correspondent,  Jocelyn Dimaculangan . After watching the film, I must say that I agree, but it is not without flaws and the story is not new, therefore it is very, very predictable.  When the scary scenes were shown, people behind us were laughing.  I feel that the shooting of this movie was rushed.   Enrico Santos is a very good writer and I am sure that if he were given more time, he could have made the twists better and more thought-provoking.  At any rate, the film is still worth watching.   Both Gerald and Julia have, for lack of a better term, blossomed, both physically and as actors.  They are also blessed to have seasoned actors as costars and there were pretty good scenes.  Miguel Vergara, a child I  met  in ONE MORE TRY(A world class movie, I must say), is pretty good here as Sam.  I think this child would be a very, very
