#latepost  (note: like some of the movies that I liked or loved or still like or still love, I wasn't able to see a single trailer or poster...we watched this because it was the only thing "playing" that we haven't seen---well, there's THE UNMARRIED WIFE that I was supposed to watch with a friend, but she went to Cebu for a convention, so I am hoping to watch that with Bestie---so we bought tickets...Silly me.  I thought it was another vampire movie. LOL)

Written by Peter Craig (his book).  He also did the screenplay alongside Andrea Berloff and he is also one of the producers
Directer by Jean-François Richet
Some Members of the Cast:
Mel Gibson as John Link, an ex-convict
Erin Moriarty as Lydia, John's daughter who ran away from home just to be some bad guy's girl
Diego Luna as Jonah, the corruptor of the very young Lydia(well, he was her boyfriend from the underworld)
William H. Macy as Kirby Curtis, John's sponsor and best friend in the whole wide world
Michael Parks as Preacher, a father figure for John
Dale Dickey as Cherise, the Preacher's wife
Thomas Mann as Jason, whom John calls a "cock sucker"
Raoul Trujillo as the Sicario/The Zealot/ The Cleaner
Miguel Sandoval as The Padrino, Arturo Rios

Just when I thought I would not find a Mel Gibson movie that I would love anymore, this movie "showed up".  The theme, the expletives and the environment are not laudable, but the love of John Link for his daughter Lydia is.

He knew he was a LOST SOUL, but he hoped that he could save his FALLEN ANGEL before she would reach eighteen.  Was he successful? Watch the movie to find out.  I think it would still be shown until Tuesday here in Metro Manila.

Rated R-13 because of sex, drugs, violence etc.

Want spoilers?  Go to the Wikipedia page, but if I were you, it's more exciting not to know, because we enjoyed every minute trying to guess what would happen next.

The movie is so mundane that you would wonder why someone like me would enjoy it.  It's simple. It's a father-daughter(pure love) movie.  It may have a horrible setting, but the love is there.
